YF Life Insurance International Limited (YF Life) is once again hosting and fully sponsoring the YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program in 2025, with recruitment officially open. This meaningful program aims to empower children in pursuing their dreams of interstellar exploration. Participants will engage in a series of experiential activities and competitions over several months, pushing their boundaries, while parents will accompany their children through these challenges, gaining a deeper understanding of their personalities and potential. The final eight selected Jr. Astronauts will embark on a nine-day US space-exploration journey in the USA this summer. Over the past two decades, this program has been highly popular among children and parents, and has received strong support from school leaders in Hong Kong and Macau, as well as prominent figures in community, fulfilling the space dreams of over 160 children to date.
Established in 1999, the YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program is the first program in Hong Kong and Macau to provide simulated astronaut training for children, and has consistently received broad support from all sectors of society. Through innovative and unique training methods, the Program aims to enhance children’s interest in space exploration and advanced technology, and more importantly, to cultivate a spirit of perseverance and courage to break through personal limitations, allowing them to embody the “It is Possible!” spirit. Applicants will be assessed in various aspects, such as creativity, space knowledge, physical fitness, presentation skills, and self-confidence, in the three-round recruitment procedure.

The top eight winners will be appointed YF Life Jr. Astronauts. They will depart with one participating parent in July for the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama to undergo simulated astronaut training. They will then travel to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for a visit and meet with a real-life astronaut, and learn more about the life of real astronauts working in earth orbit.
2025 YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program is now open for applications. Children aged 7 to 11 with a keen interest in space exploration are welcome. Completed online application on or before March 30, 2025, to get a limited-edition space gift.

Enroll online and submit a 2-minute video introducing themselves and their creative item. |

1st Round Recruitment April 12, 2025 |
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit their creative items and undergo a brief interview in person at the head office of YF Life. |

2nd Round Competition May 17, 2025 |
50 shortlisted candidates will undergo a series of tests of their physical fitness, space knowledge, and presentation skills. 20 finalists will be selected to enter the last round. |

3rd Round Interview June 7, 2025 |
Program patrons and judges will interview the 20 finalists together with their parents, and 8 of them who demonstrated the most outstanding performance will be appointed as YF Life Jr. Astronauts of the year. |
