The “YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program” was founded by YF Life Insurance International Ltd. in 1999. It is the first program to provide simulated astronaut training for children from Hong Kong and Macau. In addition to receiving staunch support from university presidents and community celebrities, the program has also enjoyed tremendous acclaim from children, parents, and schools. With its all-round, innovative and unique training methodology, the Program is designed to spark and nurture children’s interest in space exploration and advanced aerospace technology, and encourages children to take on challenges and go beyond themselves with the “It is Possible!” spirit. Through three rigorous rounds of selection, 8 Jr. Astronauts who demonstrate the most outstanding performance will be appointed as Jr. Astronauts. They will blast off for a nine-day Space-Exploration Journey with their parents in the summer. The costs are fully sponsored by YF Life, including the fees for the children and parents to join the overseas space camp, round-trip flight tickets, accommodation, meals, and travel insurance.
